How the calculator works
The How Rich Am I calculator uses your annual household income and family size to compute an "equivalised income"— the same standard used by OECD and researchers worldwide. That lets us compare households of different sizes fairly and show you exactly what share of Indians earn more or less than you. Results are based on the World Inequality Database's income distribution for India.
